Panic obsession?

Sunday, June 22, 2008
while getting ready for sleep just now, i had some ideas to put on this blog. so wanna know what i did? i had a cup of milo and put on some music, you know, to get my mind going. and you know what? i forgot what i wanted to write. that is just so typical of me. it's like on the tip of my fingers but i just don't remember what it is..it certainly wasn't about patd.

anyway, i haven't been posting anything lately because there is a problem with my computer, so there's only the old laptop left (i'm using it right now). therefore...i had to wait for my turn to use it. plus, friendster is acting up - i can't upload pictures anymore. but probably it's the internet connection, or this laptop (like i said, it's kind of old...), because my YM is acting up too....keeps getting disconnected. or is it a virus maybe? my brothers always download stuff. urgh whatever. all those problem add up and made me gave up on surfing the internet. well, not really. i love the internet.^^ i'm saying all this because herda asked why i didn't post anything in the friendster blog. so i figured that the world needs an explaination.(right...)

so during all those time when i was frustrated with friendster, i would usually go to youtube and watch my favourite band. recently, i've started to look for their live performance video...just listening to the songs from their album just isn't enough for me anymore. oh, if only i could, just once, see them face to face. talk to them if possible. they're coming to malaysia this august, part of their tour. i went to their website to look for tour dates and saw that they're going to perform at 'stadium niagara' . honestly, is there really such a place here in malaysia? i'm sure they meant stadium negara...don't you think so? anyways..it's not like i can go to their concert or anything..i'd already be in ums by that time..plus, a girl wearing tudung..in a panic at the disco concert? not exactly fitting, is it.. btw, i think they're going to do it after the MTV Asia Awards. i heard, if i'm not mistaken, if we vote for the nominees in MAA, we could get tickets to that event. hell, yeah i'm gonna vote! but yeah..i only want to go there cause patd is nominated for video star (i think). too bad we can't vote for them though. i mean, even if i do get those tickets, it wouldn't mean so much if they don't win.

i don't know why i liked PATD so much... they're really not that good of a band i think. (my sister pointed that out, and i'm starting to think that maybe she's right). probably it's because of the music arrangement, or the arrangement of words in the lyrics, but, bottom line, i'm hooked. i've memorized most of the words now..just can't sing it the way brendon urie does. but i'm beginning to understand what those songs are about. i searched for them in the internet and found them on wikipedia. i read some pretty surprising facts on them, especially that they're actually only a few years older than me, the oldest one should be 23, i think. the youngest one is 20 or 21..not sure, really. which means that, when they had their first album, they were barely out of highschool. (which is good in a way, because they finished school), and ryan ross was in his first semester in college (or did he finished his 1st semester?).. creative writing, i think, and even had a scholarship. those people who commented youtube have also been a real help. so after reading all those facts i fell in love with them even more..yay! haha..

i really liked their songs in the first album, it's just that they're......full of negativity. sometimes i just wish that those bad words aren't really bad words at all cause those songs just sound so good to me. i mean, you kind of lose the fun when lots of words get censored, don't you? nope..no fun. i like their latest songs too.. and, before i heard them, i thought about myself, trying to be a good girl (you know..being religious and getting matured and stuff), so i thought i shouldn't listen to their crap anymore..i was sad to abandon them you know.. but then i saw Nine in the Afternoon MV and i thought that it was cool, and that it actually brought joy to my soul.haha...no, seriously, i really think it sounds good. so i was thankful that they too have matured.. and i started to search for them in imeem, and youtube, and, yes, wikipedia. all in all, they said that they were bored with their songs, cause they have been doing a lot of growing up in the past years and they're not full of angst anymore. it showed in their songs.. although, i think there's still a hint of sarcasm in their new songs but you'd have to listen carefully through the happy notes. i mean, they did say "you don't have to worry cause we're still the same band". but yeah..maybe it's just me. hey, don't get me wrong though. i still listen to their older songs...and loving them everytime. they're just words anyway, and those songs don't represent them anymore.

awesome, they are...

i think another reason why i liked them so much is that none of the people i know are fans of this band..or at least not as fanatic as me. i guess it made me feel unique..i totally like that feeling. don't you? ^^

-peace out-

haven't slept. (insomnia?)

Sunday, June 1, 2008

it's already 4 in the morning! i'm so going to regret this later. haven't slept at all... i was a afraid that i would wake up late so i decided not to sleep. i finished packing at around 1.30 and i wasn't sleepy anymore by that time. i tried to sleep but my eyes just won't obey me (most probably because of the coffee i had.hehe).. so i've been wasting my time watching Coffee Prince. i'm going to continue with episode 10 later.

i like this story probably because of the main character, Go Eun Chan. (I mean, her name is 'Chan'. How is that not cute?) She has a strong personality, outspoken probably but have a mature way of thinking. (I can't describe properly. sorry..so you should probably just watch it yourself) One more thing that makes me like her is how much she resembles me so much. You probably think i'm vain, now, don't you? hehe.. no, it's just, well... she likes food, was born in december, blood type O, she laughs a lot, she's comfortable in huge clothes (i am..cuz i can move freely in them)...maybe they're just small things, but i like it cause it made me feel like wanting to be more like her. that is, the hardworking part. she lost her father as a teenager and have been the leader of the family ever since...they became poor after her father died. she took part time and stuff. she always had the boyish manner, therefore, people often mistaken him as a guy. i probably would too, you know.. looking at her, she just reminds me of ryan ross of patd, so cute ^^.
You can probably find it on MySoju.com, boomvid.com, Dailymotion, Crunchyroll (mandarin dubbed), gofish, Youtube, Veoh (not available in Malaysia anymore), etc. (i can't think of any other video streaming websites). but you should really just go to the last 5. the other 2 websites don't upload their own videos.. they really just put together videos from various websites to form full episodes. but they're still cool for doing that, nevertheless. if you're wondering why i know this, well i couldn't download it through veoh anymore so i've searched for it a lot. anyway, i hope you enjoy this as much as i do.. i like the way they decorate the coffee, btw. tres bien. :D
Other Kdrama of my favorites are Sassy-girl Chun Hyang, Full House, My Girl, and Witch Yoo Hee.
Kdrama...a cause of insomnia to me. another one would be Jdrama. it used to be anime, but i've grown out of it probably. not that i don't watch it anymore. ;p
So, btw, plz wish me well upon travelling. hehe..i won't be around for about a week...not unless i can find a CC nearby. hmm...i'll totally miss this laptop....:
